Following Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket, several cricket fans have left heartbroken as they have been following his journey since the start. Amidst all this, Virat Kohli was encountered by a crazy fan who kept asking him why he took retirement from Test cricket. The fan also said that he won’t watch cricket from now as he used to follow the sport just because of Kohli. “Sir, you did wrong, why did you retire? Now, we won’t watch cricket. I will not watch cricket from now on. .I used to watch Test matches for you,” the fan said in a video in Hindi.
No one left to motivate youngsters now: Yograj Singh and Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket
Former cricketer and Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh also shared his thoughts after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from the Test format. Yograj feels that one is left to motivate the youngsters now after the departure of two of their best senior players from the longest format. The former cricketer also feels that the team of youngsters will always ‘fall apart.”
“I think Rohit Sharma needed just one person to motivate him daily, for example, to go for a run at 5 AM. Rohit (Sharma) and Virender Sehwag are two people who retired too early. The greatest players should play till 50 years of age... I am sad about their (Rohit and Kohli) retirement as no one is left to motivate the youngsters now," Yograj Singh was quoted as saying NDTV Sports.
