Darwin Nunez, an Uruguayan international footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League champions Liverpool, is all set to join a new team. The 26-year-old joined Liverpool in 2022 for a reported transfer fee of €75m with potential add-ons, where he scored 25 goals and provided 13 assists in the 95 matches.
The Uruguayan international, who played a pivotal role in Liverpool's win over Athletic Bilbao, could be seen moving to Saudi. According to latest reports, Darwin Nunez is set to leave the Premier League title winners and could be seen arriving for a new challenge at the Saudi club Al-Hilal. As per Fabrizio Romano, the club to club agreement between has been completed and Al Hilal are currently negotiating with Darwin over personal terms. The initial transfer fee is set to be around €53m with additional add-ons.
Simone Inzaghi keen on landing the deal for Darwin Nunez: Reports
The new manager of Al-Hilal, Simone Inzaghi is keen on bringing the 26-year-old in the squad to boost their overall quality in the final third. With Liverpool looking to offload some players after completing various transfers in this window like Hugo Ekitike and their latest target Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. Nunez will not be the main starter of the team and would be further down the order, which is why Liverpool are currently looking to complete the deal with the Saudi based team.
Al-Hilal are looking to clinch the Saudi Pro League League title under their new manager Simone Inzaghi, who joined the club after reaching the final of the Champions League with Inter Milan in the previous campaign. After finishing runners-up in the previous campaign and with the potential signing of Darwin Nunez, Al-Hilal will look to reclaim their glory in their Saudi Pro League.
