Former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has  announced on Tuesday the birth of his fourth child, Bella with wife Alice Campello. The Atletico Madrid star revealed that Alice was admitted to intensive care in a Spanish hospital after suffering complications and the 27-year-old Italian is finally out of ICU on Wednesday.

Morata, 30, took to his official Instagram handle to announce the birth of his fourth child, Bella. He wrote, "Bella was born on the 9th and she is wonderful. Mom unfortunately after the childbirth that went very well, she had some complications that made us very scared. A lice is strong and recovering little by little. Right now he is in the ICU of the University of Navarra Clinic cared for by the best doctors and is slowly recovering very well... she is very strong."

"We don't want to stop thanking all the doctors for having been at every moment caring, understanding and very professional, each and every one of them. We have no words to thank you for what you have done and we feel huge admiration for you. Thank you all for the thousands of messages we've received, we send you a very big hug and we'll keep telling you," he added.

On Wednesday, Morata confirmed that his wife had been released from intensive care, though remained in hospital. He took to Twitter and wrote, "Alice has left intensive care and is in a room doing much better and recovering with Bella. I am still coming to terms with what happened. Thank you Alice for teaching me a lesson once again. You are without doubt a fighter and an example for me.

"These have definitely been the worst days of my life but I’m fortunate to have you in it. You’re the best thing that has happened to me and my life without you would have no meaning.  Thank you to everyone who has been close to us and once again thank you to everyone at the University Hospital of Navarra for their delicacy and treatment."

After having an abysmal season at Chelsea, Morata again joined his former club Atletico Madrid in January 2019 and scored 22 goals in 64 appearances across all competitions. In September 2020, the Spaniard returned to Juventus on a 1-year loan and scored 20 goals and made 16 assists in the Serie A. In July 2022, Morata returned to Atleti and scored six goals in 16 La Liga matches.
