After the completion of the Perth Test, the Men in Blue were hosted by Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Notably, both sides will engage in a two-day practice match in Canberra ahead of their Pink Ball Test.

While the meeting was brief, PM and Virat Kohli engaged in a light-hearted interaction. In a video making rounds on social media, PM Albanese could be seen praising Kohli for his century in the Perth Test. What caught everyone’s attention was Kohli’s instant and humorous reply, which left everyone in splits. The Australian PM told Kohli, “Good time at Perth. Bloody hell, as if we were not suffering enough at that point.” Kohli replied, “Always got to add some spice to it.”

It is a wonderful place and hopefully we will play good cricket in the next few weeks. It is a pleasure to be here and thank you sir for inviting us.”
