The Andhra Premier League (APL) is coming back with its fourth edition in 2025. Launched in 2022 by Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), APL turned out to become one of the most promising franchise cricket leagues in India. It gives young and aspiring cricketers from Andhra Pradesh a platform to shine and earn attention. Now, the fourth edition of the APL is expected to be bigger than the previous seasons and some new talents will emerge who will be coming with the vision of ruling world cricket in future.

About Andhra Premier League

Based in Visakhapatnam, the Andhra Premier League is a franchise T20 cricket tournament organised by the Andhra Cricket Association. The first edition of the APL was played in July 2022 with Coastal Riders securing a maiden title. The Andhra Premier League provides a platform for local cricketers from the state to bridge the gap between district-level and national level.

The Andhra Premier League is played in a franchise cricket format where seven teams from different regions of the state compete against each other in a two-week tournament. Like major franchise cricket leagues in India, there is also a player auction that takes place before the start of an APL season. Along with this, the league also features team retention, and graded player categories.

APL season 4: Dates and Venue

The Andhra Pradesh League is coming back with its fourth edition in 2025. The tournament will start from August 8 and will be played until August 23. All 25 matches of APL season 4 will be played at Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The tournament will be played in the round-robin format where all seven teams will play one game each against each other. After the league stage, the tournament will advance to the playoffs stages which include Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final.
