India U-19 batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi lit up the World Cup on Friday with a scintillating batting performance against Uganda. The 17-year-old smashed a breathtaking century, scoring 144 off 120 balls. The opening batter was the player to watch out for before the start of the tournament and he certainly proved why he is considered the future of Indian cricket.
Raghuvanshi, along with Raj Bawa, punished Uganda bowlers and smashed boundaries at will. The duo stitched a 206-run partnership and put India in a dominating position, where the team can target 400 runs. Notably, Angrish was also the star in India's previous match against Ireland. The opener scored 79 and was the second-highest scorer in the game.
