Celebrating his 35th birthday, Indian batter Virat Kohli continued his stellar form in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 with a crucial half-century against South Africa. Batting first, Kohli, with Shreyas Iyer, steadied the Indian innings after the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as the Men in Blue were in a spot of bother.

Kohli and Iyer started gradually and then picked up the scoring rate with some incredible stroke play. Kohli then completed his sixth half-century in the World Cup. Celebrating this milestone, fans flooded social media with messages of praise and adoration while hoping that Kohli would go on to complete his 49th ODI century.
