As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 enters the playoffs stage, several questions have popped up in their supporters’ minds. Before the start of Qualifier 1 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Mullanpur, cricket fans are eager to know whether reserve days are available for IPL 2025 playoffs matches. The answer to this query is that there are no reserve days for the initial two playoffs matches such as Qualifier 1 and Eliminator.

In case, the clash between PBKS and RCB ends in no-result, the former will reach the final for concluding the league round as the top side while the latter will have to contest against the victorious team of the Eliminator, which will be played in Mullanpur on May 30. Similarly, if the Eliminator contest between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) gets washed out in Mullanpur, Shubman Gill’s side will be seen in Qualifier 2 as Titans were superior to Mumbai on the points tally with 18 points.

Reserve days available for Qualifier 2 and final

Reserve days are allocated to Qualifier 2 on June 1 and final on June 3. In 18 years of IPL history, there have been only one instance, when the reserve day was utilised. Back in 2023, the final between GT and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was postponed for a day due to rain. With monsoon likely to arrive in India on June 1, chances of rain intervening in Qualifier 2 and final in Ahmedabad can’t be ruled out.

Talking about the weather in Mullanpur for the game between PBKS and RCB, possibility of rain is negligible in Punjab's city as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there will be humid weather without any drizzle from the sky.
