20 potential all-rounders have been invited by the BCCI for a nearly three-week camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru in an effort to find young players with a variety of skills. This comes after some key performances in the recently concluded IPL 2023. Arjun Tendulkar, who plays first-class cricket for Goa and made his IPL debut for the Mumbai Indians in the most recent season, has also been invited to the camp that will begin in August.

According to the reports cited, players were chosen by the senior national selection committee, which is currently led by interim selector Shiv Sunder Das, based on their performance and potential.

"To guarantee that we create a lot of multi-skilled players across formats, NCA's Head of Cricket VVS Laxman came up with the idea for the all-rounders camp", a senior BCCI source told PTI.

Chetan Sakariya, a left-arm seamer for Saurashtra, who also plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL and has already represented India (2021), is one of the recognisable names among the group. Abhishek Sharma, a left-handed batsman for PBKS, Rajasthan's Manav Suthar and off-spinner all-rounder Mohit Redkar from Goa have also been added to the list.
