The oldest rivalry in cricket is coming back with England and Australia locking horns in the first Test of the Ashes, beginning from June 16 in Edgbaston, Birmingham. England began the summer at home by defeating Ireland in a one-off Test at Lords in London. On the other hand, Australia are coming off on the back of their win at the World Test Championship Final 2023, where they defeated India by a huge margin of 209 runs.

England will be led by Ben Stokes in the upcoming tournament, and all eyes will be on him as well as McCullum as they take on Australia at home. Ben Stokes and Co . will wish to continue their winning momentum and open the tournament on a positive note. Not only this, but the team will also seek to win the trophy after their defeat in the last Ashes series. Though the Pat Cummins side might have won the WTC Final 2023, they haven’t won an Ashes series in England since 2021.
