India entered the final of the men's badminton team event with a 3-2 win over South Korea in the semi-final. HS Pranoy took the first win for India after defeating Hyeokjin Jeon 2-1. Pranoy lost the first game with a 16-21 margin but came back to win the second game 21-18 with some incredible shots.

In the decider, Jeon got off to a brilliant start and took a massive lead until Pranoy rallied back to take a 20-17 lead and then seal the first win for India with a 21-19 margin. The second match of the semi-final saw India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lose their first game against Seungjae Seo and Minhyuk Kang.

The South Korean duo dominated and went on to win the first game 21-13 in a comfortable fashion. Then retaliating in the second game, Rankireddy and Shetty held their own in a battle of attrition but suffered a hard-fought 26-24 loss. 

The third match of the semifinal saw Lakshya Sen take on Yungyu Lee and take an 11-7 lead at the break. Sen continued his stellar form to string ten consecutive points to win the first game 21-7. The second game was a similar story as Sen took an early lead 7-2 lead and was on top 11-4 at the break before sealing a 21-9 win.

After Sen's win, India suffered another loss as the Arjun Madathil Ramachandran and Dhruv Kapila duo suffered a 21-16, 21-11 loss against Wonho Kim and Sungseung NA. Then to bail India out of trouble, Kidambi Srikanth showed off class against Geonyeop Cho. 

Despite, Cho's victory in the first game, 21-12 Srikanth clawed back to level the tie with a resounding 21-16 win in Game 2. Then in the third game, Srikanth dominated in the third game with a 21-16 win and confirmed the spot in the final for India.
