Pakistan's volleyball coach Issanaye Ferraz broke down in tears after his side took down South Korea to reach the quarterfinals of ongoing Asian Games 2023. Notably, Pakistan defeated the three-time champions South Korea on September 22, Friday at the China Textiles City Sports Centre Gymnasium in Hangzhou. After their win against the champion team, Pakistan squad's Brazilian coach Issanaye Ferraz was left in tears, clearly showing what did the win mean to him and his boys.

The video of Ferraz crying over his boys' triumph has been going viral on social media. In the match, the green shirts brought their every skill to use as they won over their South Korean counterparts 3-0, by registering scores 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 in their favour to secure their berth in the quarterfinal of the 19th Asiad.

After their win, the Pakistan Volleyball Federation’s (PVF) Chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob told 'The News', “It’s a huge win. In the previous game against Chinese Taipei the team lacked in certain zones but today the boys overcame everything and played outstanding game. After taking 2-0 lead the boys seemed over-excited and I feared it might hurt them, but they showed great discipline in the third set as well to complete an impressive win."
In their quarter-final encounter, Pakistan will go head-to-head with Qatar on Sunday, September 23.
