Star India and cricketer and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, recently welcomed his first child with wife and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty. The Karnataka-born announced the birth of his daughter on March 24 and on Friday, April 18, the couple unveiled her identity to the world.
Taking to social media, the couple shared the first glimpse of their daughter while also unveiling her identity as “Evaarah”. In the image shared, while KL Rahul was holding his daughter, Athiya looks at her child. The couple captioned the post, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/ इवारा ~ Gift of God”.
However, the post has so far garnered over 1.1 million likes and over 11K comments and is making rounds on the internet. Not only this, several celebs and their fans have poured in hearteous comments on it, including the lieks of Arjun Akapoor, Malaika Arora, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Anushka Sharma, Vaani Kapoor and others.
KL Rahul leads run charts for DC in IPL 2025
The couple announced pregnancy last year and welcomes a baby girl just days after the start of IPL 2025. Athiya Shetty, took to her Instagram handle to confirm the birth of her daughter with the caption reading, “Blessed with a baby girl. 24.03.2025”. On the other hand, KL Rahul is currently plying his trade for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025.
So far in the ongoing season, KL Rahul has amassed 238 runs from five innings at an average of 59.50 and a strike rate of 154.54. His highest score of unbeaten 93 came in Bengaluru against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Thursday, April 10. The Axar Patel-led DC will next travel to Gujarat to take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, scheduled for Saturday, April 19.
