Indian athlete Avinash Sable has decided to pull out of the upcoming Diamond League finals in Eugene, USA. The news of Sable’s withdrawal was confirmed on Thursday, 7 September by the JSW-backed training center, Inspire Institute of Sports, where Sable trains alongside the likes of Neeraj Chopra and Murali Sreeshankar. “TEN days to go! #NeerajChopra will be India’s sole representative at the Diamond League final, scheduled to take place at Hayward Field, in Oregon,” the IIS Vijaynagar’s official handle posted.

Earlier on Wednesday, Murali Sreeshankar has announced his decision to pull out of the upcoming Diamond League finals, citing same reason as Sable. Notably, with the withdrawal of both the Indian athletes, Neeraj Chopra remains the sole representative from the country at the event.
