With Valentine’s Day fever taking over the world, the Big Bash League has decided to celebrate the momentous day by sharing a special picture. The premier Australian T20 league posted a photo where Melbourne Stars players Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa are seen kissing.

The pair have had a long friendship and share an incredible bromance which cricket fans across the world enjoy. Hence to commemorate a day symbolising love and adoration, the BBL found the perfect span shot of Stoinis and Zampa.

A few years ago, during Australia vs Pakistan bilateral series, Stoinis was asked about his relationship with Adam Zampa and stated they share an incredible bond and enjoy each other’s company. He also talked about how their antics are just for fun and friendships like these create a great atmosphere in the team.
He said, “We are good mates, that sort of stuff gets you through long tours and all that sort of thing. A bit of banter, a bit of laugh. You can’t take yourself too seriously. We have got a good bond in the team and there’s a good group.”
But despite their best efforts, the Zampa-Stoinis duo couldn’t help their BBL team, the Melbourne Stars in the 2022-23 season. The Melbourne-based franchise had a disappointing tournament and finished at the bottom of the table with a record of three wins and 11 losses. Under Adam Zampa’s captaincy, they failed to find any consistency as they continued their BBL slump.
The 30-year-old leg spinner had a decent performance as he picked up 16 wickets in 14 games at an average of 25.00 and an economy of 7.14. On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis had a terrible season as he suffered a hamstring injury which allowed him to play only nine games. The all-rounder scored 190 runs and picked up just two wickets.
