The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has been released from India's ODI squad for the Bangladesh series in consultation with the medical team. The Board further confirms that they have not sought any replacement for Pant who will join the team before the Test series.

"In consultation with the BCCI Medical Team, Rishabh Pant has been released from the ODI squad. He will join the team ahead of the Test series. No replacement has been sought," a tweet from BCCI's official handle read.

"Axar Patel was not available for selection for the first ODI," the tweet added.
