Lionel Messi played his last match for Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Sunday as the  French champions lost 3-2 against Clermont Foot. PSG coach Christophe Galtier had previously announced that Messi would be soon leaving the French club. Amid Messi's departure, his PSG teammate and close friend Neymar Jr took to social media and posted a heartfelt message for the record seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Although, it is still unclear where Messi will head after his exit from PSG, Saudi Arabia, and the United States are expected to be the next destination for the Argentina captain. Reportedly, Inter Miami CF will sign Messi to send him on loan to his boyhood club Barcelona.

Neymar and Messi have shared a special bond with each other for a long time now. It is not a hidden fact that the two players love and respect each other immensely. They were teammates since their days playing for FC Barcelona in Spain and were united at PSG after a short gap. But Messi’s exit from the club will mean that the two friends are now again separated.

The Brazilian took to Twitter on Sunday and posted two pictures of himself with Messi, where they can be seen hugging each other and Neymar wrote in Spanish, which can be translated to, "Brother... it didn't turn out as we thought but we tried everything. It was a pleasure to share 2 more years with you. Good luck in your new stage and be happy. I love you." The tweet showing the close bond between the two has since gone viral and has amassed more than 1 million views in just 45 minutes.

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, MLS club Inter Miami, and Catalan giants FC Barcelona are currently trying to get Messi on board. Messi played at Barcelona in his young days and might choose to go back to his previous club. But there are certain financial restraints preventing Barcelona from getting Messi back. It will interesting to see where the 35-year-old goes after his brief stint with PSG.
