Clearing off the air from his and Virat Kohli's altercation with Ben Stokes, Mohammed Siraj has given a big statement. Siraj revealed that it was Stokes who abused the pacer in the beginning before the Indian skipper could then take matters into his own hands and deal with it. Notably, the social media took the fans by storm after the cameras covered Siraj and Stokes exchanging some bitter words during the former's bowling to the southpaw on Day 1 of the ongoing fourth Test between India and England. The matter further aggravated as Kohli entered into the scene which eventually forced umpire Nitin Menon to intervene in order to calm things down. However, minutes after the play concluded on Day 1, Siraj revealed the reason behind the overall altercation.

Ben Stokes mujhe gaali diya: Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj neither shies sway from bowling his heart out on the ground, nor from speaking his mind. The same he did when asked about his intense battle with Stokes on Day 1 of the ongoing fourth Test. "...Ben Stokes mujhe gaali diya (abused me) so I told Virat bhai about that. Virat bhai handled it thereafter," revealed Siraj when asked about the incident in an interview post Day 1's play on Thursday. However, the Indian pacer added that it wasn't a big issue as such incidents happen on ground.

India bundle out England for 205

Siraj bowled beautifully on Thursday as India bowled out England for 205 in the first innings of the ongoing fourth Test between the sides. The right-arm pacer returned figures of 2/45. He dismissed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in crucial moments of the game to provide India the much-needed breakthroughs. Things didn't pan out so well for India in the second innings as the side lost Shubman Gill only in the first over before Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli could steady the ship to end Day 1 at 24/1. The hosts still trails by 181 runs.
