1999 ODI World Cup semi-final game between these two sides saw a great nail-biting  encounter as the game ended in tie after both sides fighting too hard for a total of 99 overs in this contest. South Africa winning the toss invited Australia to bat first and restricted them for a below par total of 213 runs in just 49.2 overs with Shaun Pollock picking a five-wicket haul and Allan Donald picking four wickets with the ball respectively.
