Krafton India Esports announced the official kick-off date of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024. The announcement came through a video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Krafton India Esports. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was unbanned in May 2023, and since then, it has gained a huge rise in popularity within the Indian esports scenario.
With this comeback, the BGMI developers shifted their focus to creating online events and tournaments to boost the growth in the gaming circuit.
BGIS officials have announced the official date, April 4, 2024, to kick start the second season of the highly-anticipated tournament. Apart from the date, nothing has been disclosed, including the teams, participants, and the prize pool. However, the announcement of the official date was enough to create anticipation among fans and gaming enthusiasts.
The BGIS developers Krafton India Esports are expected to release more information regarding the tournament soon. Apart from this, a huge prize pool is also expected in the tournament's second season, given the unexpected success of the first season.
