Smriti Mandhana (67 off 46) and Shafali Varma (73 off 49) scored respective 50s as India crossed the 180-run mark. In reply, West Indies Women were restricted to 101/9 in their 20 overs with Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav taking two wickets each. India Women won by a big margin of 84 runs.
97 runs vs England Women, 2025
India Women’s recent win against England Women comes fourth in the list of biggest victory margins by runs in the shortest format. Playing the first game of a five-match series at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on June 28, 2025, India Women were asked to bat first by the hosts, England Women. Powered by Smriti Mandhana’s 112 runs off 62 balls, India Women posted 210/5 in their 20 overs. After that, Nallapureddy Charani shone with figures of 4/12 as England Women were bowled out for 113 runs in 14.5 overs. India Women won by a big margin of 97 runs and took a lead of 1-0 in the series.
100 runs vs Barbados Women, 2022
India Women’s win against Barbados Women during the 2022 Commonwealth Games comes third in the list. Playing in a group match at Edgbaston, Birmingham on August 3, 2022, India posted 162/8 in their 20 overs batting first after losing the toss. Jemimah Rodrigues top scored with 56*(46) runs while Shafali Varma scored 43(26) runs. After that, Renuka Singh turned out to be a star performer with the figures of 4/10 as Barbados Women were restricted to 62/8 in their 20 overs. 104 runs vs UAE Women, 2022
Another big win for India Women came against UAE Women during the Women’s Asia Cup clash at Sylhet District Stadium, Bangladesh on October 4, 2022. Batting first, Jemimah Rodrigues (75* off 45) and Deepti Sharma (64 off 49) shone with respective fifties as India Women posted a total of 178 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. In reply, UAE Women were nowhere close to India’s total as they could only score 74 runs, losing four wickets after playing the full 20 overs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad took two wickets as India Women won by a big margin of 104 runs against UAE Women.
142 runs vs Malaysia Women, 2018
The biggest win for India Women in the T20I format by runs came against Malaysia during the Women’s Asia Cup clash at Kinrara Oval Ground in Kuala Lumpur on June 3, 2018. Batting first, India posted a decent total of 169 runs for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs. Mithali Raj fell short of her hundred by just three runs as she remained unbeaten on 97*(69) runs, with Harmanpreet Kaur playing a captain’s knock of 32*(23) runs. In reply, Malaysia Women registered one of the worst batting performances as they were bowled out for just 27 runs in 13.4 overs. Pooja Vastrakar scalped three wickets while Poonam Yadav and Anuja Patil took two wickets each as India Women thrashed Malaysia Women by 142 runs.
