High on confidence, Team India will hope to continue their dominance in the series when they host Australia in the 2nd Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The second match of the series is scheduled to start from February 17, 2023.

Meanwhile, Australia is doing everything they can to tackle Ashwin-Jadeja threat as the visitors spent time practicing on Nagpur pitch before leaving for Delhi. The Indian duo bagged 15 wickets in the series opener and decimated the visitors in the second innings by bundling them at just 91. While Ravindra Jadeja bagged five wickets in the first innings, Ashwin took the responsibility in second innings.

Apart from Ashwin and Jadeja, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma grabbed limelight for batting brilliantly in the only innings India batted. The skipper smashed his ninth Test century and guided his side to a commanding position at a time when other top-order batters struggled in Nagpur. Ravindra Jadeja made immense contribution with the bat, as well as he stitched a crucial stand with Axar Patel.

For Australia, debutant Todd Murphy was the only takeaway as the off spinner clinched seven wickets in an innings. After all-round dominance in the Nagpur Test by the hosts, the action now moves to Delhi where India has clinched three out last five Test matches, while the two ended in draw.

The match holds a lot of importance for the host considering the qualification for the World Test Championship, where they will once again face Australia. If India retains the Border-Gavaskar series by a margin of 3-1 or better, they will play the WTC final for second successive edition.

Meanwhile, Pat Cummins-led Australia will be hoping to put some fight back in the 2nd Test or else they will be losing the BGT for the third time in a row. Ahead of the 2nd Test in Delhi, let’s try to understand what the weather looks like from February 17 to February 21.
