
The latest trailer for the upcoming Formula 1 based film named 'F1 - The Movie', is finally out and the movie is set to release on June 25 worldwide. The film has been directed by Joseph Kosinski, who has also directed films like Top Gun: Maverick, Tron: Legacy, Spiderhead, Only the Brave and many more. The film has also used real world racing action from the 2023 and 2024 Formula 1 season.
Popular Hollywood actor Brad Pitt will be seen in a lead role in 'F1: The Movie'. Pitt has a massive fan following worldwide and has been a part of films like The Lost City, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Fury, Fight Club, Troy, Meet Joe Black and many more. Now, he is set to play a lead role in upcoming drama, sport genre film, F1: The Movie.
What’s 'F1: The Movie' about?
The story of 'F1: The Movie' revolves around Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt, who is a retired F1 driver and is now making a comeback in the sport with his young partner, Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. It is a story of redemption where Hayes will be looking to become the world number one again after 30 years.
The film will feature real life racing tracks Silverstone, Monza, and Yas Marina. Along with that, the famous first lap crash that forced Sergio Perez to bow out of the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix has also been featured in the movie. The trailer has also showed multiple footages of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Additional filming was done at the McLaren Technology Centre, where the scene of Damson Idris’ character training will be featured. The movie is set to release in international cinemas on June 25, while it will be released in North America on June 2.
