Older brother of convicted felon and former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez,  Dennis 'D.J.' Hernandez has been arrested by police for planning school shootings at both UConn and Brown University. Aaron committed suicide while serving his life sentence for the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2013.

Prior to this horrific incident, Aaron Hernandez was a promising tight end for a Tom Brady-led New England Patriots team from 2010 to 2012. Hernandez was then involved in a double homicide, which was cleared of all charges. But in 2013, the Bristol native was charged with first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd in addition to five gun-related charges. Hernandez died in 2017 after committing suicide in his cell.

Coming back to Dennis 'D.J.' Hernandez, the ex-UConn football player was arrested by the Bristol Police Department, as per TMZ Sports, after many people came forward last month claiming D.J. had been acting odd and sending frightening messages. According to the BPD, one message allegedly read, "we're taking lives if s*** isn't paid up. It's been years in planning just taking notes, names and locations. They talked their way into this and it's almost point game."

Further, the police stated that a woman,  Hernandez alleged ex-girlfriend, claimed D.J. drove to Brown Univ and UConn and "went into a number of classrooms and buildings." The police report also reveals that D.J. had travelled to the campuses in order to plan school shootings. Police say additionally, D.J. had posted messages with threatening language on his social media page on July 19, which said, "Will I kill? Absolutely, I've warned my enemies so pay upfront."

After these messages, Dennis Hernandez and the police had a long standoff which led to D.J. being tasered before being taken to the local hospital. After recovering, Hernandez was transferred to the Bristol Police Department. He's now due in court for a hearing on the matter next week.
