The UEFA Champions League 2022-23 has concluded it's Round of 16 fixtures with eight teams including Real Madrid, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, AC Milan, Benfica Lisbon, Inter Milan and Manchester City have qualified for the quarterfinals. Recently, the UEFA announced that Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer, Burna Boy will perform ahead of the UCL 2023 final in Istanbul.
The UCL 2023 final is scheduled to take place on June 10 in Istanbul and Burna Boy will co-headline the Kick Off show alongside another global sensation, whose identity isn't revealed yet.
As announced on the TikTok, the 31-year-old Nigerian artist has teamed up with Pepsi ambassadors and football stars like world champion Lionel Messi, reigning UCL champion Vinicius Jr and Euro-winning women's player Leah Williamson to encourage fans to showcase their best dance moves or ball skills. Interested fans can post their videos on the social media platform using the hashtag #PepsiKickOffShow and the best submissions will get a chance to show off their skills at the Kick Off show.
After the announcement, Burna Boy said, "As a huge football fan myself, I know it doesn't get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League! That's why I'm so excited to be performing on the Pepsi stage at this year's final. Music and football are the ultimate combination, so you already know I'll be bringing the vibes and making magic in Istanbul. The world ain't ready for what we have in store!"
The UCL 2023 final kick off show will be available on local TV channels and through the official UEFA's YouTube and TikTok channels. Meanwhile, t he quarter-finals draw will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 12:00 CET as the first legs will be played on April 11 and 12 while the second legs will be played on April 18 and 19, 2023.
