On Sunday, May 4, the all-American team held a red carpet event in Miami following Saturday’s Sprint and Qualifying to unveil their branding. Thic came with the 2025 season almost a quarter complete and the focus on Cadillac shifting at a massive scale.
Further speaking of the new team, Cadillac have taken on the experienced Graeme Lowdon, who has previously been a key part of Manor’s F1 journey, serving as their Team Principal. Moreover, the GM-owned side will compete with Ferrari engines until 2029 after they approved GM Performance Power Units LLC being their F1 power unit supplier by the FIA.
“Our journey has been long but from the very beginning, it has been about ambition... audacity... and now acceleration," said GM President Mark Reuss. Lowdon also opened up on their vacant driver positions and hinted of having an American driver in their lineup.
“Obviously, the number one priority for us is to have something for the driver to drive, and that is where a lot of the management bandwidth is. When it comes to an American driver, everyone would love to see an American driver in an American team with an American engine, but this is also a world championship," Lowdon said, as mentioned in a statement.
