Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav have been honoured with the CEAT ODI Batter of the Year and CEAT T20I Batter of the Year awards, respectively, for their outstanding performances in 2023. The awards were announced at a gala ceremony where the best of the international cricketers were recognized based on their ratings by the CEAT Cricket Ratings (CCR).

Shubman Gill had a phenomenal 2023 in ODIs, scoring 750 runs in 12 matches in 2023 while scoring three centuries and two half-centuries, and 638 runs in 12 innings in 2022. Suryakumar Yadav was the undisputed king of T20Is in 2022 and 2023, becoming just the second batter to score more than 1000 runs in a year in the format.

SKY ended 2022 as the highest run-getter, scoring 1164 runs at a ridiculous strike rate of 187.43, averaging 46.56. His tally of 68 sixes in 2022 is the highest anyone has hit in the format in a year by a fair distance. With two hundreds and nine half-centuries in the year, Yadav was undoubtedly the standout men's T20I batter, achieving a career-high 890 rating points to be the top-ranked T20I batter in 2022. In 2023, Yadav has scored 433 runs in 10 innings so far and is on track for another great year.

Apart from the ODI Batter award, Shubman Gill also bagged the International Cricketer of the Year award. On the other hand, New Zealand star Kane Williamson won the Test Cricketer of the Year award.

The other winners of the CEAT awards were Bhuvneshwar Kumar (CEAT T20 Bowler of the Year), Brendon McCullum (CEAT Innovated Coach of the Year award), and Deepti Sharma (CEAT Women's Cricketer of the Year). Sharma scored 287 runs in 16 matches in ODIs in 2022 at an average of 35 .9 while also taking 22 wickets. In T20Is Sharma scored 370 runs in 19 innings at an average of 37 and strike rate of 136 while taking 30 wickets in 25 innings simultaneously.
