The fourth edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, a women’s domestic T20 cricket based in England, is all set to take place between May 18 to June 22, 2024. The tournament will be played for over a month and features eight teams, who will play a total of 43 matches. The grand finale will be conducted on June 22 at Country Ground in Derby.
The tournament opener will be a recap of last season’s final game where Southern Vipers thrashed The Blaze to emerge as the champions. In the rain-interrupted final last year, Southern Vipers had restricted The Blaze to just 114/8 after losing the toss. While chasing the modest target, their all-rounder Danni Wyatt played an explosive inning of 28-ball 50 to help clinch the Southern Vipers their second title.
All teams, namely Central Sparks, Northern Diamonds, North West Thunder, South East Stars, Southern Vipers, Sunrisers, The Blaze, and Western Storm, are slated to play 10 games in the competition, facing four teams once and three teams twice.
