After all the wait and speculations, the Indian Premier League fans will be able to see their favourite players in action in a month's time. The second leg of IPL 2021 is all set to begin from September 19, exactly 30 days from today. With international fixtures being played all around, it was hard for the BCCI to find a window for the second leg and ensure that maximum players were able to participate in it. However, the BCCI have managed to do it and as it seems, for now, all big names will be available to play in the rescheduled IPL.

Any T20 league without Christopher Henry Gayle is incomplete. So, there is good news for the Gayle fans as the Universe Boss will be participating in the rescheduled IPL. According to the latest reports, Chris Gayle has confirmed his participation in the rescheduled IPL. He will be back in action for the Punjab Kings.

Currently, Chris Gayle is preparing for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League that is starting from August 26, where he will be representing St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He will join the PBKS camp in the UAE after 15 September.

PBKS will hope for the vintage Gayle

In the first leg of IPL that was played from April 9 to May 2, Gayle featured in all eight games for the Punjab Kings. He aggregated 178 runs at an average of 25.42 and a below-par strike rate of 133.83. His highest score of 46 came against his ex-franchise, the Royal Challengers Bangalore. We saw a glimpse of 'Gayle storm' in that short innings. The PBKS team management will be hoping for more such performances from their most experienced campaigner.

Gayle is just a half-century away from completing 5000 runs in the Indian Premier League and this will just be another feather in his already loaded cap.
