It was a mixed day for the Indian contingent. Few positives were the performances of the experienced campaigners. The likes of PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikkanth started on a positive note in Badminton, while Dipika Pallikal stormed through the quarter-finals as well. The duo of Manika Batra and Sharath Kamal continued their glorious form as well. Furthermore, two more medals were assured in the game of boxing.

Para Powerlifting

Men's Lightweight Final: Parmjeet Kumar failed to lift 165 kg in his final attempt and no score and no position on the table was allotted to him.

Women's Lightweight Final: Manpreet Kaur and Sakina Khatun finished at 4th and 5th, respectively.

Hockey

India’s men’s team beat Wales 4-1 to enter the semi-finals of the tournament. Vice-captain Harmanpreet Singh scored three goals.
