Usman Khawaja's comeback to Australia's Test squad will surely go down in the history books as one of the best ever cricketing comebacks. Australia had to settle for a draw, owing to determined knock from Stuart Broad and James Anderson and will be disappointed with the result as they let Khawaja's feat of scoring two successive centuries in both the innings go in vain.
But, cricket fraternity went in awe after witnessing Pakistan-born Khawaja's two quality knocks in the 4th Ashes Test. He went on to score 137 off 260 balls in first innings, followed by an unbeaten 101 off 138 balls, and for his such class act he was awarded with Man of the Match. For his incredible innings and fabulous comeback to the Test side, he earned a lot of applause from the cricketing fraternity. Notably, after the match, his childhood friend and teammate David Warner also joined the league of cricketers who showered praise on Khawaja for his strong comeback to the national side.
The opener batsman posted a heartfelt note on Instagram with a picture of Khawaja along with the duo's daughter. His post read, "Childhood brothers, now father’s and I could not be any more prouder of @usman_khawajy comeback. We started throwing balls up against a wall at Waverley oval watching our brothers play cricket. Grew up playing the game we love together and against, but now back in the same team living our dreams together as father’s. This is what dreams are made of, sharing it with your family and closest friends."

Interestingly, both the cricketers are childhood friends, and have played a lot of cricket together in their early days, and now with their impressive performances contributing immensely in team's victories.
Australia has already won the series by 3-0 and will lock horns with visitors at Bellerive Oval, Hobart from January 14 to conclude the series. Australia started the series by defeating England by 9-wickets at The Gabba, followed by another victory with 275 runs in Adelaide Test, won the third Test by an innings and 14 runs at MCG.
