As per the latest update from Manchester United attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has accepted the charges put by FA, despite manager Erik ten Hag’s denial that the 37-year-old will not.

Notably, the FA’s charges come with respect to the incident from last season’s game between the Red Devils and Everton in April. The Portuguese striker looked annoyed during the game and smashed a fan’s phone while walking off the field. The striker was cautioned by the police and even by the FA last month, charging him with a breach of Rule E3.

As per reports from the Manchester Evening News, the 37-year-old has accepted the charges and the hearing to resolve the matter will take place soon. It is being further reported that the player might be subject to monetary fine rather than multiple game suspension.

Earlier the team manager Ten Hag when asked about Ronaldo’s charges claimed that he won’t accept them. “We spoke about that. He will not accept it”, stated Hag during a media address.

Talking about the Red Devils striker, Ronaldo recently registered his 700th club goal of his career during Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
