Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo added yet another milestone to his illustrious career as he netted the third goal in his team's 3-0 win over Spezia. The goal was his fourth in his last three Serie A appearances and took him two clear of Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku in the race to the Italian league golden boot. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has now scored 20 goals in the top-flight this season. He scored in the 89th minute to seal the three points for his side and take them three points behind second-placed AC Milan in the points tally.

The goal against Spezia helped CR7 to become the first footballer to have at least 20 goals against his name in 12 consecutive season in Europe's top-five leagues. The last time the Portugal legend could not net 20 goals was during his final season at Manchester United back in 2008-09. Since then, the 36-year-old has played nine seasons with Read Madrid and three with Juventus scoring at least 20 goals each year. In his third season at Juventus, Ronaldo seems favourite to win the Capocannoniere - which is awarded to the highest goal-scorer in the Serie A each season.

While he had netted 21 goals in his maiden season with Juve, he scored 31 last season falling behind Ciro Immobile tally in the golden boot race. In the ongoing season, he has scored 20 goals already in Serie A and 27 across all competitions. Only Robert Lewandowski (28) has more goals to his credit than Ronaldo in Europe's top five leagues in the current season.
