Ever since the 2021-22 Premier League season ended, the talks of Cristiano Ronaldo making a move out of Old Trafford has been in the air. After a dismal show with the Red Devils, Ronaldo is seeking a new challenge and is also getting lucrative offers. The latest offer on Ronaldo’s plate is a massive £210m offer from Saudi Arabia.

Reports have emerged that Manchester United have been approached by a Saudi Arabian club for the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, who could receive an eye-watering salary in the region of £105million per year.CNN Portugal has also reported that the offer includes a transfer fee of around £30m, which exceeds the figure that United paid to get Ronaldo back from Juventus last summer.

In that case, the Portuguese striker would be poised to receive a total salary of £210m, spread over a two-year contract, with another £20m having been tabled in agent fees. Apart from this unknown Saudi Arabian club, the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Napoli have all been linked with Ronaldo over the last few weeks. However, none of these clubs are believed to have submitted offers for his signature as things stand.

United keen on keeping Ronaldo

While Ronaldo has expressed his ardent desire to leave Manchester United, Erik ten Hag has insisted on having Ronaldo in the next season. The Red Devils’ new manager had said a few weeks back that Ronaldo ‘is not for sale’ and is still counting on the Portuguese to lead the line for the club when the new Premier League season gets underway.

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old is believed to be frustrated with United’s performance in the Premier League where they finished sixth and failed to qualify for Champions League next season. United’s lack of progress in the summer transfer window has also been a source of frustration for the striker. It’s worth noting that Man United have not made a new signing yet in the summer transfer window.
