Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr lost the Saudi Pro League title race to Al Ittihad and will go trophyless this season. The Saudi Arabian giants still have one league game to go against Al Fateh and they will look to end the season on a high. However, the Portuguese captain is likely to miss the last league game to stay fit for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers.

Al Nassr drew their last league game against Ettifaq 1-1 with Luis Gustavo on the scoresheet and an injured Ronaldo was substituted off in the 84th minute. According to various reports, Ronaldo asked his coach Dinko Jelicic to be taken off after suffering an injury. Although the injury did not appear serious, the Portuguese star could miss the last league game against Al-Fateh owing to the muscular issue but fortunately, he has not ruptured his muscle.

Ronaldo, 38, does not want to risk aggravating his injury ahead of the European championship qualifiers and will most likely miss a game for the first time in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo will take a well-deserved vacation starting on June 30 ahead of Portugal’s EURO 2024 qualifiers against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland on June 17 and 20, respectively.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been one of the top scorers for Al- Nassr and among the top five goalscorers in the Saudi Pro League this season despite joining midway scoring 14 goals and getting two assists in 16 games.
