Al-Nassr legend Cristiano Ronaldo exuded confidence in his team’s final game of the Saudi Pro League 2024-25 edition against Al-Fateh at the Al Fateh Club Stadium. Notching up the first goal in the 42nd minute, he helped his team to have a command over the game. It was his 99th goal for Al-Nassr after 111 outings. However, his effort went in vain as Al-Fateh held their nerves and snatched victory from the visiting side with a 3-2 win. With this loss, Al-Nassr’s chances of qualifying for the AFC Champions League have ended as they concluded their campaign in the third spot.
This Saudi Pro League season, the veteran striker recorded 25 goals with three assists in 29 matches. With these numbers, he succeeded in retaining the prestigious Saudi League Golden Boot. Talking about his overall performance this season, he has scored 35 goals in 41 games across all tournaments. Ronaldo, who parted ways with Manchester United in 2023, has won only the Arab Club Champions Cup title in recent years. Earlier, in the 2023-24 season, he scored 35 goals in 31 appearances to record his first Golden Boot win.

Al-Ittihad's Karim Benzema and Al Shabab’s Abderrazak Hamdallah also netted 21 goals respectively this season. Colombian forward Julian Quiñones, one of the best signings of the season, also justified his role in Al-Qadsiah with 20 goals.
Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrović, who couldn't feature in his team's playing XI consistently due to an injury, has also scored 19 goals. These figures corroborate that overseas players have dominated the marquee Saudi football tournament.
