Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a forgettable IPL 2024 edition as they were knocked out of the tournament after their defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their last league stage fixture in Bengaluru. With their exit from the 2024 edition of the cash-rich league, the side also ended their title defence. 

With CSK’s exit from the IPL 2024, speculations around this edition being the last edition for stalwart and former skipper MS Dhoni also spread like wildfire. However, there haven’t been any official statement from the wicketkeeper-batter, Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan has opened up on the Dhoni’s future. 

Although he asserted that there hasn’t been any conversation around his future, but feels that he will play the 2025 edition of the tournament. On being asked about Dhoni’s future, Kasi said, "I do not know. It is a question which only MS can answer. The question for us, we have always respected the decisions taken by MS, we have left it to him.”

“As all of you know, he has always taken his decisions and announced it at the appropriate time. We do expect that we will get a decision as and when he decides. But we are very, very hopeful that he will be available for CSK the next year. That is the view and expectations of the fans and mine,” he further added in a video on CSK’s YouTube channel.

MS Dhoni casts his vote in Ranchi for Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The former India and CSK captain, MS Dhoni was seen casting his vote during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The 42-year-old visited the polling station in Ranchi to cast his vote in the sixth phase of the elections. 

The Election Commission of India (ECI) took to social media platform and shared a picture of Dhoni’s arrival at the polling station booth. Moreover, the veteran was surrounded by cameras, video of which is also doing rounds.
