Czech Republic announced its squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 which kicks off on June 14 in Germany. The Czechnian squad includes the Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen trio of forwards Patrik Schick and Adam Hlozek and goalkeeper Matej Kovar have been picked for the continental tournament.
Further coach Ivan Hasek named West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek the captain of Czechnia. Another West Ham star, right-back Vladimir Coufal has been picked in the squad. The Czechs have a training camp in Schladming, Austria, before playing two warmup matches against Malta in Grodig, Austria, on June 7 and North Macedonia in Hradec Kralove on June 10.
Czech Republic are in Group F and will kick off their campaign on June 18 against Portugal in Leipzig followed by Georgia on June 22 and Turkey four days later in Hamburg.
