Despite having big names in their squad in the past, Delhi Capitals have not lifted the IPL title once. The side failed to qualify for the Playoffs last season and the mini-auction will be a chance for the Rishabh Pant-led side to add some quality players before the start of IPL 2023. Ahead of the auction, the DC side had retained 20 players and were left with Rs 19.45 crore. The franchise could only buy five more players, out of which, two players could be overseas.

Keeping these things in mind, DC management was cautious in how they spent their money. While they got involved in some intense bidding wars, they pulled out at the right time in order to avoid exhaustion.
