Mumbai Indians have registered their first win of the IPL 2023 with the help of brilliant performances from Piyush Chawla and skipper Rohit Sharma. MI bundled out DC for 172 runs in the first innings as skipper David Warner once again scored another fifty while all-rounder Axar Patel played an important role with the bat by scoring quick-fire 54 runs from just 25 balls.
MI had a brilliant opening partnership with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan pair registering 71 runs for the team in 7.3 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma proved his mettle with the bat after a long time by scoring 65 runs off 45 balls. Tilak Varma also played a beautiful role with the bat. Suryakumar Yadav, unfortunately, ended up being dismissed for a golden duck. Later MI chased down this target successfully in the last ball of the game with the help of the Tim David-Cameron Green pair.
