The defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in 2025. In match number four of the season, RCB Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by eight wickets to register back-to-back wins and continue to dominate on the points table. For RCB, Renuka Singh shone with the figures of 3/23 while Smriti Mandhana played a captain’s knock of 81 runs as the defending champions chased the winning target in 16.2 overs.

Coming to bat first after losing the toss, Delhi Capitals got to a disastrous start as Shafali Verma went back for a golden duck in the very first over at the score of just one run. After that, skipper Meg Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues put up a partnership of 59 runs for the second wicket. Lanning got out after scoring 17(19) runs with three boundaries, while Rodrigues top scored with 34(22), hitting four fours and two sixes. Apart from that, none of the other batters could play a big knock as DC kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 141 runs with three balls remaining. For RCB, Renuka Singh and Georgia Wareham took three wickets each while Kim Garth and Ekta Bisht took two scalps each. 

Smriti Mandhana leads from front with 47-ball 81 in RCB's back-to-back wins

Chasing the winning target, RCB got to a flying start as skipper Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt Hodge put up an opening partnership of 107 runs in 10.5 overs. Wyatt Hodge got out after scoring 42(33) runs with her innings being laced with seven boundaries. After that Smriti Mandhana top scored with 81(47) runs, hitting 10 fours and three sixes. 

Smriti Mandhana lost her wicket when RCB needed nine runs to win the match. After that, Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh gave finishing touches as RCB chased the target in 16.2 overs at the loss of two wickets. With his win, RCB continue to dominate at the top of the points table in WPL 2025 with two wins.
