In a big update, India’s rising stars wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel and middle-order batter Sarfaraz Khan have been included in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s Players Central Contract List. This update, which was reported by PTI, comes after the BCCI Apex Council meeting, which was held on Monday, March 18.
The inclusion of Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel comes after the duo fulfilled the criteria of playing three Tests in a season. “Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan, having played two Test matches so far, will be inducted into Grade C if they participate in the Dharamsala Test match, i.e., the 5th Test of the ongoing series against England,” the BCCI’s statement read on February 28.
The two Indian star players of the India versus England Test series have been handed Grade C contracts, which consists of annual retainership of INR 1 Crore. Moreover, it is to be noted that Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer continue to miss a place in the BCCI’s Central Contract list. Check the top betting trends on the best betting sites in India and apps.
