The Indian squad will include the country’s no. 1 player - Sumit Nagal, Sasikumar Mukund, Ramkumar Ramanathan, and Digvijay Pratap Singh for the singles match. The doubles team would see Rohan Bopanna and Yuki Bhambri pair in an encounter that marks the end of Bopana’s illustrious career. While Rohit Rajpal continues to remain the non-playing captain.

Team India will also include five more players like Saketh Myneni and Manas Dhamne, who are in the squad. These players with Manish Sureshkumar, Karan Singh and Yuvan Nandal will be the sparring partners for the original squad. Unfortunately, Prajnesh Gunneswaran has been dropped after a poor performance in India's World Group I play-off tie against Denmark in January.

Talking about the team’s previous Davis Cup encounter, India lost to Denmark 2-3 at the Royal Stage Stadium in Hillerod during the World Group Play-Off earlier this year. Hoger Rune started off the tie by defeating Yuki Bhambri 6-2, 6-2. But Sumit Nagal took down August Holmgren 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to level the score. But Day 2 saw two bleak performances from the Indian team with  Rohan Bopanna and Yuki Bhambri losing 6-2, 6-4 and Holger Rune finishing off the playoff by taking down Sumit Nagal 7-5, 6-4.
