In the 47th match of IPL 2025, held on April 28 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a commanding 8-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT). Chasing a formidable target of 210, RR achieved the win with 25 balls to spare, thanks to a record-breaking century by 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. For the unversed, RR won the toss and chose to field first. GT got off to a good start with the opening pair creating a 93-run partnership for the first wicket. Jos Butler played another quick-fire 50* off 26 balls as the visitors were able to put 209 on the scoreboard.
RR came out to bat with the roar of the home-crowd behind them, and they delivered a spectacular performance. A mammoth 166-run opening partnership from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal, saw RR kill the game in the first 12 overs itself. Even after getting two wickets which only served as consolation for GT, skipper Riyan Parag finished the job for his team scoring 32* of 15 balls and helped chase down the target in just 15.5 overs.

The win finally ended a five-match consecutive losing streak for RR while GT failed to take away crucial points in the playoffs race. Although they still remain in third position after this defeat, they will have to tread carefully from now onwards if they want to make it to the playoffs.
