In the 67th match of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on 25th May 2025, CSK secured a huge 83 run victory over GT in their final match of the season. In the first innings CSK delivered a dominant batting display amassing a season-high total of 230/5 in 20 overs. Opener Ayush Mhatre provided a brisk start, and the momentum was carried forward by Devon Conway, who smashed a fiery half-century, and Dewald Brevis, who blazed to his fifty in just 19 balls.
Their aggressive stroke play, combined with effective middle-order contributions, dismantled the GT bowling attack and helped CSK reach this total. In response, GT faced early blows as batters Shubman Gill and Jos Butler were dismissed early on by the CSK bowling attack. Some resistance from star batter Sai Sudharshan and the middle-order went in vain as CSK kept on piling the pressure and took timely wickets. GT fell short of 83 runs as they were bowled out for 147 in 18.3 overs with Ansul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad both picking up 3 wickets each.
