Will England get to field one of their most beloved and doting fast bowling talents - Jofra Archer in what is to come next? As Archer, who was sorely missed in the just-concluded Test match at Leeds, makes his comeback and is actually likely to play up next, the juggling will begin in terms of who gets in and who, therefore, gets out or misses out from the Second Test?

So which bowlers from their most-recent line up at Headingley is to miss out in order to make way for Jofra Archer?

Here are three possible players who could be dropped from team England playing XI if Jofra Archer plays the Edgbaston Test:

Chris Woakes

But yes, one tends to note further evidence of why Woakes could be dropped from the very disturbing reality that in India's maiden outing at Leeds, he just claimed a single wicket despite the premier English all rounder, who happens to be a seasoned all round expert.

Meanwhile, in stark contrast, Woakes' captain Stokes bowled just 20 overs whilst capturing four wickets in the first innings, backing it up in second innings as well. Woakes was a bit bland with the red ball as seen at Edgbaston, wasn't he? Maybe he can be dropped to make space for the beaming right arm fast medium specialist - Jofra Archer.

Shoaib Bashir

He is such a fine spin bowling talent, a committed and uncomplicated character out in the field who saves vital runs for his team and stays focused when not bowling in order to support his team out there.

Having said that, Bashir, who even though took the big wicket of Shubman Gill, who made 147, a dominant score for India, the spinner was only able to take one wicket. And that's about the first inning, however, in the second outing with the red ball, the tall English spinner claimed two wickets, thus improving just a fair bit.

In the context of the overall promise and redoubtable potential of Archer, probably England could drop Bashir in what's to come next at Edgbaston. Don't you think so?

Brydon Carse

brydon carse handed three month ban from all forms of cricket One of the genuine frontline quicks in the current English seem attack, someone who, arguably speaking, has more pace than even Chris Woakes, a mighty fine experienced English all rounder, Carse, it appears, could be one of the players who could be left out. However, that sort of sacrifice one can get in order to get someone like Archer, an ace of pace, into the playing eleven for England at Edgbaston.

Having said that, Carse's, whose promise and potential are clear, also backed by the fact that he claimed four Indian wickets (at Headingley) has a demerit and it's that he can go for a few runs and that too, easily. He can be counterattacked in the Test match format without much ado.

Particularly true if the batters out in the front confronting Brydon Carse can challenge him and take his pace prowess head on.
