With the five-match Test series between England and India currently leveled at 1-1, the two will now lock horns in the third Test, scheduled to be played from July 10 till July 14 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. It is to be noted that England won the opening Test in Leeds by five wickets, the Shubman Gill-led Team India bounced back to win the second Test, by 336-run margin in Birmingham.

While the win was special for the Men in Blue as they breached the Edgbaston fortress, it was also special for Gill, who claimed his first win as captain of the side after taking over the reins from Rohit Sharma, who announced retirement from Test cricket in May 2025.
