Apart from Gus Atkinson’s omission, Jamie Smith has been added to the 12-member squad with Jacob Bethell doubtful for the match due to an illness. It is to be noted that Atkinson had a forgettable outing, where he conceded 38 runs in two overs and scored only two runs in 13 deliveries. As for Brydon Carse, he has played four T20Is, accounting for six wickets at an average of 15.33.
Speaking of Jacob Bethell, his participation remains under cloud as he missed the pre-match training session on Friday, January 24 due to an illness. In the opening T20I of the series, he scored seven runs off 14 deliveries.
