Playing a sport is one thing and living for it is another. Even though England lost the Euro 2020 finals, their effort in the field cannot be forgotten and also that they were playing in a major final after almost 55 years. Luke Shaw made the final interesting with his ‘under two minutes goal’. Not just the finals, Shaw was a standout performer for Southgate's England throughout the tournament. It never looked like he was being troubled by an injury.

In a recent revelation, it has been found out that Luke Shaw played in the Euro 2020 with broken ribs. The England left-back reportedly played against Ukraine, Denmark, and Italy with broken ribs. The reports also suggest that the 26-year old sustained the injury during the last-16 match against arch-rivals Germany. His club, Manchester United is waiting for Shaw's return to assess the extent of the damage.

Luke Shaw made crucial contributions for England as he secured one goal and provided three assists from six matches. Shaw had supplied two assists in his team's win over Ukraine.

Shaw has had injury issues in the past

Luke Shaw has struggled with fitness issues and injury setbacks throughout his career. However, the defender was enjoying his revival and was doing great for his team. Shaw is currently enjoying the summer holiday with his England teammates Mason Mount, Declan Rice, and Kyle Walker. The quartet was seen at a restaurant on the Greek Island of Mykonos last weekend. Shaw was pictured alongside midfielders Mount and Rice on a yacht days later.
