A week after the European summer transfer window closed, the first international break of 2023–24 will take place, with two match dates planned for Euro 2024 qualifying. On September 8, France will square off against Ireland at the Parc des Princes in Paris whereas the Netherlands will lock horns against Greece at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, Netherlands at the same time.

France have almost booked a spot at the Euros, winning four in four so far. The game against Ireland will be their fifth one in the tournament. PSG Superstar Kylian Mbappe has been their go-to-man, as he has top-scored for them with four goals. Ireland on the other hand got off to a rocky start to their campaign. The Irish have won just one game out of three, losing two so far. They lost both their opening games which were against France and Greece, but came back strongly in the third and won 3-0 against Gibraltar.

Talking about the Netherlands and Greece clash, the Dutch side have played only two games in the Euro Qualifiers so far, and have won and lost one each. They were steamrolled 4-0 in their opening game against France away from home, courtesy of a brace by Mbappe, but came back to win the next game against Gibraltar 3-0. Greece look like the next favourites to qualify from the group along with France, as they are placed in second position after winning two games out of three. They won 3-0 against Gibraltar and 2-1 against Ireland, but eventually lost against group leaders France 1-0 in June.
